EASY LIFE Life's a Beach.jpg

A high-energy/high-anxiety anthem, “skeletons” is an instant-classic from easy life, a group forging a new path (and expanded sound) for UK bands on the world stage. “skeletons’ plays with the idea of a slightly mysterious and potentially terrifying past,” says front-man Murray, introducing the track. “Everyone has baggage and everyone has skeletons. Falling head over heels with somebody who may be bad news, we’ve all been there.”

skeletons” offers a second taste of easy life’s debut album, ‘life’s a beach’ - a sun-kissed world of its own, where (like the band themselves) there is often more than meets the eye. The record was launched recently alongside powerful opening track “a message to myself”:  produced by BEKON (Kendrick Lamar) and with a stunning video courtesy of Andy Baker (‘Rick & Morty’), here was a symphonic essay on depression, and a powerful plea for self-love. Observational, universal and deeply personal, this rounded study of forgotten small-towns is the record easy life have spent their young lives working towards. The fact they’re set to release their debut album as the world enjoys – hopefully – a safe return to the beach seems oddly fitting amidst their unpredictable rise to date.

C3 PRESENTS,
JEFF MCCLUSKY & ASSOCIATES, DEPAUL UNIVERSITY TO LAUNCH FIRST EVER
LOLLAPALOOZA UNIVERSITY VIRTUALLY

The partnership of C3 Presents, Jeff McClusky & Associates (JMA), and DePaul University is proud to announce the inaugural Lollapalooza University college class. The debut course will take place twice a week Wednesdays and Thursday between July 22nd and August 20th. The syllabus has been developed following the success of JMA’s partnership with Belmont in the Bonnaroo University program over the past few years. Classes were designed to include full festival immersion experience and a broad look at the inner workings of different areas of the music industry. In previous years, there were 5 weeks of classroom instruction and the actual festival field trip which included 2 sessions per day with executives, artists, agents, and managers, where students were able to listen to our panelists and ask questions.

Due to COVID-19, Lollapalooza University will occur via Zoom. There will be 21 students from DePaul, interns from JMA, and select students invited from other universities. The students will attend 10 virtual classes that will introduce them to different areas of the music business such as festival operations, artist management, and record labels.  This year’s speakers will include Charlie Walker, Huston Powell, and Simon Kessler from C3 presents, Jeff McClusky, Perry Ferrell of Jane’s Addiction, Kevin Shivers from WME, Jason Flom, the founder of Lava Records, Courtney Stewart, the manager of Khalid, from Right Hand Co., Binta Brown, the co-founder of the Black Manager’s Coalition and manager of Peter CottonTale, from nice work., and Joe Shanahan from the Metro in Chicago and Dean of the Chicago music venues among others.
