Public Service Broadcasting has a strong presence in the UK and major touring history including Glastonbury, SXSW, support for Arcade Fire, Kaiser Chiefs, The Strokes and the first band to play the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum in NYC last year. There will be a Fall 2017 tour announced in the coming weeks along with select underplays in the UK in May.
Public Service Broadcasting is the corduroy-clad brainchild of London-based J. Willgoose, Esq. who, along with his drumming companion, Wrigglesworth, and their bass player, keys and horns man extraordinaire, JFAbraham, is on a quest to inform, educate and entertain audiences around the globe.
Willgoose has an established reputation for weaving forensic, historical research into evocative storytelling. This time he is taking us on a journey down the mineshafts of the South Wales valleys, using the history of coal mining to shine a light on the disenfranchised. Released on July 7th, Every Valley is a story of dignity and social responsibility and it rails against apathy. In transposing the story of the South Wales miners into the 21st Century of ‘fake news’, populist politics and a total disregard for the voiceless, Every Valley is a resounding call to arms and a metaphor for a much larger, global and social malaise.
