In 2018 JMA enthusiastically relaunched the artist management division. We felt it was time and there was a clear need for the kind of experience we had in all areas of the business to contribute developing young compelling artist and writers. JMA functions in all of the strategic areas assisting an artist in their development including touring, streaming, sync placement, radio promotion, playlist placement, merchandising, and creating innovative marketing strategies. These are the critical skills for necessary artists management and as the industry continues to evolve we recognize that companies offering an array of services have more opportunities to engage with artists, managers, independent labels, and publishers at any career level for expert guidance in any and all of these functions. We believe that each project deserves an individualized plan to help artists reach the right goals. Each artist that we work with has a unique plan to help them achieve their fullest potential and JMA has had years of experience and networking to provide our artists with an excellent opportunity for exposure. SCHOOL OF ROCK
School of Rock (SOR) is a music school for all skill levels, ages, and musical aspirations. With students ranging in ages from 9 to 19, School of Rock is where music students can grow into real musicians. Jeff McClusky serves on the board of SOR and the JMA staff has helped coordinate opportunities between SOR students and artist on a tour including U2, The Who, Gretta Van Fleet, Zach Brown, as well as assisting in the development of SOR presence at Festivals including Bonaroo, Lollapalooza, Summerfest, and others coming.
Additionally, JMA and the McClusky family – including Jeff’s wife, Jill, and their daughters, Lauren and Rachel – are deeply committed to supporting Special Olympics and have volunteered in the organization’s music CD initiatives, entertainment events, and fundraising around the world. Jeff serves on the board for Special Olympics Illinois and his family serves on the Board for Opportunity International Global Microfinance initiative.
Each year since 2007, Lauren McClusky has produced a Lollapalooza after show called Nelarusky. This annual event during Lollapalooza week held at Metro Chicago has raised 400,000 dollars for Special Olympics and over 13 years has featured performance by Imagine dragons, Alabama Shakes, Cold War Kids, John Bellion, Khali Uchis, Quinn XCII, John Splitoff and many others. Lauren McClusky utilizes the JMA team for donor sponsorship and execution for the event.
